Security Application and Version Updates
Google SecOps announced a mandatory Python runtime migration to maintain security, performance, and compatibility. Users are required to move from Python 3.7 to Python 3.11 within the next year. Key highlights of this migration include: Python 3.11 runtime and Staging Mode feature became available on July 14, 2024, enabling users to test migrations before production deployment. Python 3.7 will be fully decommissioned on November 1, 2025—after this date, 3.7-based integrations and connectors will no longer function in the SecOps Platform or Marketplace. Migration requirements include updating all integrations, connectors, and custom code to Python 3.11, and upgrading Remote Agent to version 2.0 or higher for compatibility.
